Up for sale is a VINTAGE 1997 SPECIALIZED STUMPJUMPER PRO M2 SIZE 17. This was the top of the line Specialized back before S Works began. Original XTR shifters and derailleur. Original wheels with XTR rear hub. TIRES SHOWN ARE FOR PICTURES ONLY NOT INCLUDED WITH BIKE AS IS THE CRANKSET PEDALS AND BOTTOM BRACKET. The son of strongarm cranks were replaced with the current drivetrain ( once again… Not included with the bike) so is basically a 1 X 8 setup but a 3 ring crankset can be installed making it a 3 X 8 again. Due to this bike being 24 years old…. The rear rim has a couple of loose spokes and will need to be trued (both wheels have stainless steel spokes). Original Rock Shox Judy XC forks were “upgraded” with Kronos Engineering hardened springs. XTR V-brakes and shifters /levers. Gold Bullseye pulleys. Original rear cog and chain. Silver stem and bars swapped for wider black specialized bars and stem. I bought this new back in 1997 ( original owner) and rode mainly with roadies and was always kept indoors. Mountain DEW green has been cleaned and waxed and still looks fresh. A few scratches on the drive side chainstay tho had a chainstay protector many years.
