Specialized Fatboy slick 100psi 26″ tire I’ve kept this in a closet since 1996 or so. I’m listing it as ‘new – other’ condition because the packaging is missing and the sidewalls are showing some color change from the passage of time. I don’t remember ever installing it and the close-up photos of the tread indicate that it hasn’t been ridden. Note the tiny bit of material at the center or crest of the tread. That would have with away in just a few miles. Look carefully at the photos to see the uneven coloring of the sidewalls. The buyer can save some money with shipping if I’m allowed to fold the tire over itself, essentially cutting the dimensions in half. I set the original shipping weight and dimensions for a box that can hold the tire in its non-folded condition. Bike tires are commonly shipped in the twist/fold condition and it doesn’t affect the ride or appearance when installed. That twisting/folding can, however, have an effect on how the tire looks prior to installation. It’s the buyer’s choice. You’ll need a 26×1 inner tube. (26 x 1&3/8 is not compatible). Note the tire label on the sidewall. Prior to approximately 1991, Specialized tires used a label design with a yellow background and the distinctive ‘Specialized’ name in black lettering. In 1996, approximately, a red background was used. During the period between (~1991 – ~1996) the ‘chevron’ or ‘hazard’ the label design was in use. This tire bears the ‘hazard’ design. I’ll pack it using the buyer’s preference and ship it quickly. Thanks.
