The build starts on a full carbon, size small, 29″ S-Works frame that is in 9/10 cosmetic condition with no cracks or significant carbon damage what so ever. The frame is decked out with a fresh Fox 32 Step Cast Factory 100mm fork and to compliment the white fork, I’ve got some Reynolds 29″ XC Carbon wheels. These also have no carbon damage what so ever and are ready for some classic XC Racing. On top of that, I’ve got a Full Shimano XTR Drivetrain, with an 11 Speed XTR Cassette, Crank set, Shifter and Derailleur. This group set works flawlessly and is arguably the most reliable groupset available on the market, with no of the new product gimmicks that have been seen on the 12 speed XTR Group sets. Up front, this bike is set up with a Bontrager stem, some carbon bars and a pair or Shimano XT Brakes which do the job of bringing this bike to a stop. All in all, this bike is pretty much top of the world cup spec of this frame, everything works phenomenally together and is ready to slaughter any XC Racing field. The bike as you see it in the pictures with pedals comes in at 24.5lbs and with the help of a carbon seat post and some name brand Shimano pedals, I bet you could bring this rig down to sub 23lbs. The brain shock seems to be engaging and working as should, and up front the fork is just like any other regular fork with no brain technology to hassle about. I am noticing a creak of sorts whenever the suspension first compresses and I am pretty sure this is coming from the hose going to the brain in the back, but it could be something with the linkage. Once again, no cracks in this frame what so ever, but it will likely need some attention in the back.
