This is a 2018 Specialized S-Works Epic Hardtail in phenomenal condition. This bike is a race machine weighing in under 20lbs, built up with what I believe are the most reliable/lightweight components available on the market. I bought this bike for the 2019/2020 race season and ended up only doing a handful of XC NICA races on it. As a 110lb rider, this bike hasn’t been abused and every single scratch/chip on the frame is pictured. Being a lighter rider plays towards the benefit of the parts. The wheels, suspension, frame and really all the parts haven’t been abused nearly as much as opposed to this same bike being ridden by a heavier rider.As far as functionality, this bike rides like a dream.With XTR Di2 shifting, the shifting is extremely crisp and although may be seen as an unnecessary luxury, I am a strong believer in Di2. With a long battery life, a simple set up, easy adjustment and the butter smooth shifting this makes for one of the best drivetrains out there. In addition to what you see, you’ll also get a XTR Di2 front derailleur that works paired with on shifter, if you desire more range, throw on this front derailleur and the electronics will take care of synchro-shifting your front and rear derailleur to keep things simple and your handlebars clear. Paired with the Shimano Di2 shifting, you will be getting the lightest crankset available on the market, the Raceface Next Carbon SL.The highlight of this build are the industry nine wheels. This aluminum wheel set from the leading wheel builder in the world takes care of a stiff wheelset as well as keeping down the weight and maximizing durability. The color matched spokes, hubs, decals and rotors add a little crispness to the bike, making it look like a souring beast.Up front, I have a Rockshox SID Brain fork. A questionable technology that I fell in love with. Locked out when you don’t need the suspension and as if magically opening the travel from the first impact coming at the wheel. If you’ve tried the brain before and know that it’s not for you, then no problem, I’ll sell you the bike without the fork for $300 cheaper. On the contrary, if you’ve never ridden a brain fork, do one of two things. Go get a rental and check it out, or if you’re in the Austin area, then hit me up and lets go on a test ride.The rest of the bike is built up with a Carbon seat post, carbon saddle, carbon stem, carbon bars and as does the frame, most of these parts say the much desired “S-Works” for both your own satisfaction and the envy you’ll receive from all riders on the trail. On the handlebars, you have a standard set of ESI Foam grips as well as a set of Shimano XTR brakes to bring you to an instant stop on the trail.This bike has been babied it’s entire lifetime and has thousands of miles left in it.
