The bicycles we sell are best described as “Project Bikes” that have one or more of the following issues:- frame damage- defective and/or worn-out parts- parts that are missing We don’t perform any maintenance or repair work on the bicycles in our inventory. At a minimum, a bicycle purchased from us will need to be professionally assembled and inspected for safe operation. Most will also need extensive service work. CONDITION Our visual inspection of this bicycle was focused mainly on the structural integrity of the frame, with less effort devoted to inspection of the components (suspension, cockpit, drivetrain, wheels). Damage that exceeds the following common conditions is described further down in this section:- light scratches and small dings- minor damage to finish due to cable, heel, and chain rub- what might be typical for a bike of this type and/or age (e.g. crank arm damage from curb and/or rock strikes, etc.) FrameWe found damage in the following location(s):- Head tube had front impact and “ovalized” – not perfectly circular anymore- Several moderate scratches on drive side down tube- Several light scratches on drive side seat stay- Light scratches on non-drive side down tube- Needs new headset It’s the buyer’s sole responsibility, ideally in consultation with a carbon repair expert, to determine whether or not any area of carbon damage identified in this listing actually needs to be repaired in order for this bicycle to be considered safe to ride, specifically with respect to the structural integrity of the frame. For expert inspection and repair of damaged carbon, we recommend Broken Carbon in Boulder, CO. Other than the damage noted above, frame in fair condition. Suspension Fork- Stanchions have light scratches on both sides- Light scratches to fork lowers- Steerer has been cut very short – won’t allow many additional spacers once stem is installed- Because no stem is installed, challenging to properly test fork compression/rebound *Disclaimer*Service history of fork is unknown – buyer should assume that service (rebuilding) is likely needed at this time, and in some cases complete replacement might be necessary. Rear Shock- Fair condition *Disclaimer*Service history of shock is unknown – buyer should assume that service (rebuilding) is likely needed at this time, and in some cases complete replacement might be necessary. Dropper Post- Needs service or replacement *Disclaimer*Service history of dropper post is unknown – buyer should assume that service (rebuilding) is likely needed at this time, and in some cases complete replacement might be necessary. Cockpit (grips/handlebar/stem/saddle)- Grips NOT included- Missing headset spacers- Saddle moderately worn- Light wear to handlebar Drivetrain (controls/brakes/derailleurs/crankset/cassette/chain)- Chain NOT included- Crankset and cassette have moderate wear- Rear derailleur missing mounting bolt- Shifting and brakes likely need service based on condition of bike Wheelset- Both wheels have several light/moderate scratches SPECIFICATIONS Frame: 2017 Specialized Enduro Comp 650b Aluminum, Travel: 170mm Fork: RockShox Yari RC, Travel: 170mm Rear Shock: RockShox Monarch+ RC3 Drivetrain: 1 x 11 Speed Brakes: SRAM Guide R Shifters: SRAM NX1 Front Derailleur: N/A Rear Derailleur: SRAM GX1 Crankset: Race Face Aeffect Alloy, 30t, 170mm Cassette: SRAM XG1150, 10-42 Handlebar: Specialized Alloy, 800mm Stem: N/A – NOT INCLUDED Seatpost: Specialized Command Post Dropper, 30.9mm, Travel: 125mm Front Axle Spacing: 15 x 110mm Boost (Thru Axle) Rear Axle Spacing: 12 x 148mm Boost (Thru Axle) Wheels: Roval Traverse Alloy Tubeless, 27.5″ GEOMETRY Size: Medium Effective Top Tube: 576 Head Tube: 100 Head Tube Angle: 65.5° Seat Tube Angle: 76° —– —– —– —– With regard to the current state of tune and continued serviceability of the components (cockpit, drivetrain, wheels), assume the following: – We have not checked the torque values of bolts and other fasteners on this bicycle, and it’s certainly possible that some, and maybe even all, of these fasteners are not tightened to the manufacturers’ recommended torque specifications, and, in fact, might actually be loose (e.g. loose enough to cause a component or small part to move unexpectedly or fall off, or otherwise cause a safety hazard and risk of personal injury or death). – We have not checked the condition or adjustment of bearings (headset, bottom bracket, derailleur pulley, hub, freehub), and some or all might need to be adjusted or replaced. – We have not checked the operation of drivetrain control components (shifters, brakes, derailleurs), and some or all might need to be adjusted. In the case of bikes with hydraulic brakes, the front and/or rear brake systems might need to be bled. – We have not evaluated the condition and remaining service life of drivetrain wear components (brake pads, disc brake rotors, cables/housing, chainrings, cassette, chain), and some or all might need to be replaced. – In the case of bikes with disc brakes, we have not checked the alignment of the rotors, and one or both might need to be trued. – We have not checked the alignment of the wheels, and one or both might need to be trued and/or dished. – We have not evaluated the condition of the tires or tubes, and some or all might need to be replaced. In the case of bikes with tubeless compatible rims, we have not checked to see if tubeless tape and/or tubeless valve stems are installed. In the case of bikes with tubular tires, we have not evaluated the age or condition of the tubular glue, and it’s prudent to assume that the tires need to be re-glued in order achieve a safe and reliable adhesion between tires and rims. —– —– —– —– Bicycle will be partially disassembled and professionally packed prior to shipping.
