Up for your consideration is a 2011 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Alloy Expert 29er, in size Medium. I bought this bike new, for the 2011 season, and rode it ~200 easy miles, on established trails. In 2013, I encountered a major life change, followed by progressive and degenerative health issues. Consequently, the bike has sat, since the summer of 2013, and I have finally accepted I’m no longer going to be able to ride bicycles again. This bike is the most expensive and nicest bike I’ve ever owned. Because of that, I rode and cared for this bike, as such. It has not been hucked or abused in any way. The condition in the pictures is the way it has been maintained, during my ownership. Bits I’ve changed from new: •The dreadful, Specialized Henge seat (worst I’ve ever sat on) was changed to a WTB Speed-V with matching blue stitching. The original seat was sold and will not be included. •The original, Specialized lock-on grips were changed out for Ergon GP1. The originals will be included.•The original, Specialized tires dry rotted, so I did some searching for replacements, online. The Maxxis Ardent look to get consistently good reviews, so that’s what I installed. I did a staggered, 2.4“/2.25” fitment and they’re setup tubeless with Stan’s sealant.•This bike shipped with a Shimano FD. I changed it out to an equivalent SRAM X7 FD, so the bike is all SRAM. The original FD was sold and not included. In the spec listing and pictures are the extra items that will come with the bike, such as a spare SRAM X0 RD, Lezyne pump, Crank Brothers Eggbeater 3 pedals, all the original manuals, etc. The way the bike is in the pictures is exactly what you’ll receive. The only cosmetic blemishes to note are two minor paint chips on the left side shock mount (pictured), a minor scratch on the left chainstay (pictured), wear marks on the crank arms, and some of the rim decals have started delaminating, leaving white strips behind. Otherwise, this bike is cosmetically perfect and the pictures show it as such. Again, this bike has sat, since 2013, and it would be in your best interest to have the brake fluid flushed and the suspension properly serviced, before planning an epic MTB trip. I’ve no idea what shipping a bike like this costs these days. In looking at other listings, I see a range of free to upper $200’s. I’m going with $140, shipped in the lower 48 of the USA. I have zero interest in shipping outside of the lower 48, as I don’t want to deal with agents, customs, or other complexities. The bike will be packed in a bicycle box, with judicious use of protective materials. Again, this bike will only ship to the lower 48 of the USA. I’ve tried to represent this bike as honest as possible, via description and pics. If you have any questions at all, please, reach out and I’ll do my best to answer them. Thank you for your consideration and take care.
