Up for sale is an awesome Specialized Stumpjumper Sport from the early 80s! Based on my research it seems to be a 1983 or 1984 model. This bike is in wonderful condition and rides like a dream even after sitting in a garage for most of its life. Shifting is smooth, wheels spin very nicely, pedals have excellent spin, seatpost has been greased over the years and goes up and down. Gorgeous lugged frame with no dents! Some paint chips and small areas of surface rust but a beautiful survivor for its age! A true classic MTB with a nice patina. Serial # DS486262 (stamped on BB) Top tube: 21” Stand over 30” (I’m about 5’8” with a 30” inseam and it fits me really well) Center crank to top of seat tube 18” Og bullmoose bars with foam grips 25.25” across This bike could fit a slightly larger/shorter rider because of the sliding seatpost which can shorten/lengthen the top tube a little bit. This also can give a little extra clearance for a seat bag/rear cargo.
