1980s SPECIALIZED ROCKHOPPER OLD SCHOOL MOUNTAIN BIKE VINTAGE BMX STUMPJUMPER 80 Click Photos to Enlarge Description Here is a cool OLD SCHOOL/vintage (I believe 1980s. The serial number is GP834325?) mens Specialized Rockhopper old school Mountain Bike with 26″ wheels. It is in the original and very appealing BRIGHT YELLOW colored factory paint. This bike screams 1980s!!! If you like cool original mountain bikes, this may be a great bike for you. Mountain bikes are great as you can ride them on road, off the road, or on the trails. *The bike features; vintage original paint and decals Custom Gauge Double Butted Cro-Moly frame with original paint and decals, original forks, Biospace 3-piece cranks, Christophe strap type pedals, Shimano Exage derailleur, black seat/saddle, (has rips) aluminum Quick release seat post, (NOT frozen in place) original handlebars, center pull brakes, and more! Includes bonus accessories including TWO water bottle cages AND a rear carrier rack! *I am into old vintage/antique bikes. I described this one the best that I could. Check out all pics and let me know if you have questions. I am no expert on these but I know there is someone out there that will appreciate this one! *My 2 cents on this…. as better quality, non “box store” bike of the time, I think if you take good care of this, it should only go up in value! (Happened with the old stuff and this was one of the “good” ones of the time! Just a thought by me of course! The Stumpjumper and Rockhopper bikes started it all! *The tires are 26×1.95″. The tires do not appear to have many miles on them but are old. (probably ok for display or replace for riding) The bike has lightweight aluminum rims with a QUICK RELEASE front and rear hubs. *The bike is an original 21-SPEED with hand controlled brakes. (shifts and brakes but may need minor cable adjustment) *DIMENSIONS The stand over height is approx 29″. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28″. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18″. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 20 1/2″. The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust. *NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. It has been in long term storage and cannot wait to be enjoyed once again! It is not 100% flawless but is ok for its age! (see pics and be your own judge) The paint is original and has chips scratches etc. I LOVE the fact that this bike has never been repainted! I think it is a cool survivor type bike! (see pics and be your own judge) Both wheels have a slight wobble when you spin them. (most every used bike out there seems to. (rear wheel does not have a spoke protector) NOTE, I am not an expert on Mountain Bikes. Check out all pics and ASK any questions before you bid! Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid. *Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. These are getting to be hard to find in any condition and to my knowledge, have not been reproduced. Mountain bikes will be future collectibles so why not buy now when the price is right. *I try my very best to describe as accurately as possible and disclose anything I am aware of about the bike. Please keep in mind many of the bikes I list have listed have not been regularly ridden in a while.(not a bad thing) If you have any questions regarding any specific things concerning the bike, please ask before you bid. Keep in mind you are bidding on a used bike that is not a brand new bicycle so it may need minor tuning, cables or cable adjustment, if tires are original, they may or may not have sidewall cracks, etc. I believe this to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted.I try to be as honest as I can and disclose anything I know about the bike. By bidding please understand that you are purchasing a used bicycle that may or may not need tlc. If I notice an issue, I always try to note it in the auction listing. I want you to be excited about your new bike and hope you really enjoy your new vintage ride for years to come.
